About:

Game name: Trophy RC

Genre: Simulator, Racing Game

Platforms: PC (later consoles)

Development stage: Prototype

Release date: Prototype available on itch.io, full version TBD (in development)

Description:

TrophyRC is a unique simulator for controlling 1:10 scale RC cars. The project is designed for those who dreamed of driving RC models as kids and for those who still have that passion today.

The game offers players the chance to drive miniature off-road vehicles, tackle a variety of tracks, and explore meticulously crafted landscapes. Future development plans include adding new car models of different scales, more tracks, and extensive customization options, allowing players to create their ideal RC car. The game will also feature online multiplayer and support for various control methods, including an actual RC remote.

The main goal of the project is to rekindle the childhood excitement and joy of playing with RC models, blending it with modern technology and the possibilities of the gaming world.

Features:

Realistic Physics: The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, which allows for highly detailed physics, including how the car interacts with different surfaces like sand, water, and grass, as well as its interaction with the environment.

Single and multiplayer mode: (single available in the prototype) featuring challenges or world exploration.

Variety of tracks: Future updates will expand the selection of tracks, each with its own unique challenges that require specific driving skills.

Customization options: Players will not only be able to choose their cars but also customize them to fit their preferences, creating a personalized experience.

Development history:

The idea for Trophy RC was born out of the developer’s personal love for radio-controlled models and the desire to bring that passion into the digital realm. The project began as an experiment but quickly resonated with a community of enthusiasts, which fueled its further development. The developer is currently seeking funding to bring all envisioned features to life and create a fully-fledged simulator.

Target audience:

RC Model Enthusiasts: People who are passionate about RC models and are looking for a high-quality simulator.

Gamers: Fans of racing games and simulators who are interested in unique and unconventional projects.

Nostalgic Audience: Adults who played with RC models as kids and want to relive those emotions.

Keep in mind:

  • It's only a prototype, not a full game
  • The demo is not optimized, but at minimum settings runs well on GTX1060.
  • The game has a menu of settings with changing graphics quality, so try it out.
  • There's only one test map -  "country house."
  • One car model is also available.
  • In the prototype the interaction of the car with sand, water and grass is realized.
  • In the future, I want to make a more in-depth realization of the physics of the car with the surrounding world.
  • If you get an error at startup game (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime), just update Visual Studio from the Microsoft website

It was so much fun to see the realistic RC and the huge course like a secret base spread out in the garden, a scene I had dreamed of as a child!
The behavior and sound of the RC is really good.
If I may say so, it would be great if the sound effects could be a little louder, meow~!
By the way, I'm using RTX4060 on my PC and the image quality was heavy on Epic and just fine on Medium! FYI!

Fun game =D I look forward to more and hope for a multiplayer so I can play it with my wife =) keep it up and left a follow!!!

can you add controller support?

(1 edit)

I have added support for the xbox controller, other controllers should work the same way. What kind of gamepad do you use?

x box one. awesome thank you. i have 12 1/10 RC crawlers so this is cool.

Any video on how to download and start playing?? when i downloaded file it wasn't a zip file or anything!! Thanks!!

it's just a 7z archive. unpack it with winrar or winzip app.

get the latest VCC Redist from the MS website here

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=ms...

This looks so awesome. Unfortunately don't have a PC to run this, but hope console testing starts at some point!

How do I donate, to help this project come along?

hi, thanks for your support! I have a boosty

How do install the game? Once i install the file I double click the file and nothing happens

It's a zip archive, just unzip it

How would I go about setting up a PS4 controller for controls rather than the keyboard?

Unfortunately, there is no way at the moment. Perhaps this can be done using third-party programs.

Use JoytoKey. I've been using my hat for ages, and it works great!

If I have feedback (bugs, suggestions), is there a place to leave it?
